If that happens you might as well get a new barrel because the obstructed barrel is toast. The last thing you want on a precision rifle is a stuck barrel. Having a chronograph available is critical for working up subsonic loads. The key thing for picking powder is to pick something that will give you a fairly conisistant powder column. It's worked so well and takes up enough space to minimize any sloshing that I haven't played with anything else. Powder-The only powder I've worked with has been Trailboss. Primers-I used CCI large rifle primers just because I had a ton of them on hand. I've also used the Remington 180grn PSP's and Nosler 180grn Accubond's, getting the best results accuracy-wise with the Accubonds. The extra seating depth eats into the powder reservoir further reducing the ability for the powder to "slosh". BoatTails don't seem to work very well at lower velocities and the different bullet provides instant visual identification as to what type of round it is. Bullets-Choose something with a round nose and a flat base. The key is to be able to fill it up without much room to "slosh". Brass from Winchester or Hornady has a relatively large capacity as far as. This means using Federal GMM, Lapua or MilSurp brass that you've sorted by weight to remain consistant. Brass-Choose brass that has the lowest internal capacity. They are kind of fun to play with though and component selection is critical. They typically lack the same precision as full power loads (average about 1MOA), so making the same quality practice isn't very practical and I wouldn't hunt with one when I can do it more humanely with a full power round. Subsonic rounds are good for impressing friends and for doing demo's to show how quiet the suppressor can be, but that's about it. It is 1 in 10" as I expected to use both full-power and SS loads. You all so have to clean the barrel more often ,as the loads is more senticive for a dirty barrel Start at 11gr this will all most for sure be supersonic ,but it is better to start that way and later work the load down ,this way you will not end up with a bullet stuck in the barrel I have used n110(powder from Finland )burns clean under lower pressure ,and no need for filler If you have a 1in 10twist you might use 200smk but test without the can until you know for sure Its not the weight of the bullet that matters, its the lengthĪnd second what is the twist of your barrelĪ round nose can be heavy but still short enough to be stabilized I have pretty good expierience with suppressors, but not enough with reloading, and even the Sierra guys couldn't answer ths. If I neeed to move this over to ammo, then so be it. I have a custom made Mike Rock 5R barrel in a Remington action, trued & pillar bedded, with 1 in 10 twist, and Jewel Trigger. Can I get away with the 200, 210 or 220gr.? I just ordered 200 bullets, a hundred of the 180 grain SMK's because I knew they'd work, and then I also ordered some of the 180 grain round noses, because that is what TTi is loading. 308 case for subsonic reloads, and still have the bearing surface appropriately seated, whilst not compressing powder, having OAL issues or causing erratic flight? I will need the heavy bullet to kill feral hogs at my protein feeders. In their defense, they just built a 4500 square foot storefront, and put in CNC machines, etc.Ĭan anyone tell me just how big a bullet I can get in the. Yeah, it took a long time to get it, as their turn around is a little slow.but I think it was worth the wait. I believe they have improved their design recently, because this is definitely the most quite Jet I have ever heard. The sound? Just a firing pin, a little swoosh, and the TANG! sound of the bullet striking my sillouhete. I had some 180 grain Black Hills SMK subsonics I bought from my dealer, and I hurriedly shot 5 rounds at the ranch last week, just to check it out.

Perhaps one of the most undervalued players in this year’s NFL draft is UMass WR Andy Isabella, who is coming off the season as PFF’s highest-graded wide receiver. Trust me, a lot faster, but he has that toughness that Danny has.” “He has the same build, but he’s a lot faster. It reminds me of Danny Amendola,” Wayne added. That’s one thing, and when he catches the ball he knows what to do with it. He’ll be the fastest receiver in this upcoming combine. “When you turn the film on, the first thing you see is fast,” Wayne said. If you wish to do so, you can very easily follow the below described procedure in order to fulfil this task: If you are also in such a turmoil, and want to duplicate the exact color that you used on some other image, you will have to exactly match the codes on your image to get the needed effects. You can also extract this color code and use it on some other image by copying the code and regenerating the color. If you wish to replicate a color, you can very easily do so by providing the exact color codes of that color. This exact digital color code or combination will reflect a perfect color.Īs you already know that all colors and their shades are actually made with a combination of primary colors which are Red Green and Blue (RGB), these colors mixed in certain proportions make all other colors and their shades. This combination is described in the image as the color code. The colors in the image you create in Photoshop or any other document are actually a fixed combination of primary colors. You may require a specific color which you may have seen or used on some other image, but when you try to replicate the image from the color picker on your Photoshop, you do not get similar results. While you’re creating an image in Photoshop. Photoshop can fulfil all your graphic needs and imaging requirements. Photoshop is equally popular between professionals and amateurs because of the fact that it is easy while being equally comprehensive and functional. I lack the magnificent richness of color that animates nature.Photoshop is one of the most admired graphics designing tool. This color table has more of the grays/blues from the sky than the first color table.Īnd here’s an example of a stripe design using this second color palette along with the color-reduced photo (on top) and the original photo (on bottom). The picture below shows the marquee and the color table which results from selecting this portion of the photo. Use the Marquee tool to select the area of the photo you want to emphasize, and then follow steps 1 through 4 above. It’s easy to generate a color palette which emphasizes part of the photo. You might notice that the color palette is pretty weak on the colors from the sky of the original photo since that’s a small portion of the photo. It’s shown below along with the color-reduced photo (on top) and the original photo (on bottom). Using the steps outlined in this previous post under the heading “Using a Saved Color Table”, I created a stripe design using this color palette. Photoshop saves it as a file with an extension of. Click the Save button and give your color table a name. This will open the Color Table window shown here. To bring up this color palette, selec t Image –> Mode –> Color Table from the menu. The photo is now reduced to the number of colors chosen - 20 in this example. When you’re happy with the colors, click the OK button.ģ. Here you’re trying to extract the ‘appropriate’ number of colors for your palette - you’re not trying to edit your photo. Make sure the preview box is checked, and then play around with changing the number of colors. In the Palette drop-down, select Local (Adaptive). This opens the Indexed Color menu, shown here. (This is a good spot to remind you to always make a backup copy before modifying your photos.)Ģ. If your image has more than one layer, Photoshop will ask to flatten the image–click OK. With the image open in Photoshop Elements (or Photoshop), choose the following from the menu: Image –> Mode –> Indexed Color. I used this photo to create a small quilt for the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt initiative, which you can see here.ġ. I’ll start with this photo that I took of Delicate Arch in Utah. This post compliments a couple of my previous posts where I talked about how to color-reduce a photo in Photoshop Elements, and then how to generate a Color Table from the color-reduced photo and use the color table to create coordinating designs. You can then use the color palette to create your own designs. In this post, I’ll show how to quickly create a color palette (called a color table in Photoshop) from a photo. The inspiration for a color palette can come from anywhere, and I find that photos are often a great source of color palettes. Sometimes when creating a design (fabric or otherwise) it’s helpful to work with a fixed palette of colors. It's indicative of Simple Math's overcooking: Most of the time, the band can't find a moment of empty space it doesn't fill with that extra guitar overdub, more string cues, or another intimacy-sapping vocal harmony. While the burly guitars on "Mighty" and "Pale Black Eye" flex some swamp-rock muscle, as a full outfit, Manchester Orchestra simply plod instead of groove, bogged down by Simple Math's favorite artificial flavor, a charmlessly and coldly recorded string section. It's that ponderous alt-rock framework that makes Simple Math such a drag even as the lyrics and production feel like they're racing to out-sensationalize each other. The problem lies in where Hull ends and Manchester Orchestra begins, and it's a space populated by lesser sons of the south, post-grunge good ol' boys like 3 Doors Down and Collective Soul- tellingly, the most immediately hooky riffs of the lot ("April Fool") lay mere inches down the fretboard from those of "Shine", and "Leave It Alone" flirts too briefly with a raw tenderness before diving headfirst into the sugary dross of truck-selling power ballad "The World That I Know". It's hard to imagine something like the title track, which uses infidelity as a jumping-off point to question the entire basis of human existence, even standing a chance without it. His belief in his own profundity is kind of endearing as Manchester Orchestra's driving force. Hull's got a thing for drunken fuck-ups who own up to their failures, though he's far more interested in using it for autobiography rather than storytelling. As a frontman, he does his peers proud- while his astringent, high lonesome warble immediately recalls the Jim James/Ben Bridwell dialect, it's flexible enough to handle both rebel yells and vulnerable self-flagellation. The singles off the album are, “Bed Head”, and, “Keel Timing”, with Hull stating that "Keel Timing" "serves as a prequel" to "Bed Head", and is "an isolated internal investigation about personal growth," the last single to be released was, "Telepath", with Isaac Deitz, and describing it "the ebb and flow of lifelong commitment to another person. But hell, if there's any Conor Oberst acolyte capable of making The Merrimack to Titus Andronicus' The Monitor, it's Hull. The Million Masks of God, debuted at number 31 on the Billboard 200, number 5 on the Top Rock Albums, number 3 on the Top Alternative Albums, and number 4 on the Independent Albums charts. The band has performed at major music festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Coachella, Riot Fest, Shaky Knees Music Festival, Firefly Music Festival, Reading and Leeds Festivals, Austin City Limits Music Festival and more, including their own hosted and curated annual festival, The Stuffing, held on the day before Thanksgiving in Atlanta, GA. They have released several extended plays and six studio albums: I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child, in 2006, Mean Everything to Nothing, in 2009, Simple Math, in 2011, Cope, in 2014, A Black Mile to the Surface in 2017 and their latest album, The Million Masks of God came out on February 18, 2021. Indie-rock band Manchester Orchestra are from Atlanta and is composed of rhythm guitarist-singer-songwriter Andy Hull, lead guitarist Robert McDowell, bassist Andy Prince and drummer Tim Very. Scientists classify it as a single species within its own genus. Adaptable and resourceful, individual maned wolves range through enormous territories where they live off everything from rodents and birds to venomous snakes and berries.Ī NOCTURAL PREDATOR that is skilled at locating prey (pouncing, above) in the open savanna of central Brazil, the maned wolf is, in fact, neither a wolf nor a fox. Scientists do agree that this mysterious hunter leads a solitary, mainly nocturnal life in open savanna scrublands throughout central Brazil, spilling over into small parts of Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay and northern Argentina. "Untangling the evolutionary and taxonomic relationships of this species to the rest of South America’s canids has not proved to be an easy task," says University of Maryland researcher James Dietz. Scientists currently classify it as a single species within a single genus (Chrysocyon brachyurus). South America’s largest wild canine, in fact, is neither a fox nor a wolf. Yet it is so slender that, at 50 pounds, it weighs no more than a small basset hound. Standing three feet at the shoulder, it is taller than some Great Danes. The object of our quest was the maned wolf, an oversized yet incredibly graceful doglike creature with rufous red coat and legs so spindly it is sometimes described as a giant fox on stilts. From long before sunrise until after midnight, this had been our search pattern for almost two weeks during the July dry season, using binoculars by day and spotlight by night. Scanning the darkness, I leaned as far out of the car window as I could while my partner Mark Jones drove slowly along the dusty track. Numb from cold and groggy with fatigue, I swept my spotlight fruitlessly back and forth across the grassy landscape. THE MOON had long since set and myriad stars shimmered icy blue in the sky over Emas National Park, a 500-square-mile reserve in the central highlands of Brazil. In the grasslands of central Brazil, the author gets a rare glimpse into the secretive life of South America's largest wild canine Note that this will not do want you want for large integers. Var bitwised = Number("97.654")|0 // do not use for large numbersĪny bitwise operator (here I've done a bitwise or, but you could also do double negation as in an earlier answer or a bit shift) will convert the value to a 32 bit integer, and most of them will convert to a signed integer. Var fixed = Number("97.654").toFixed(0) // rounded rather than truncated There are a few ways of doing this: var rounded = Math.floor(Number("97.654")) // other options are Math.ceil, Math.round Obviously, converting to a Number gives you a value that might be a float rather than an integer, so if you want an integer, you need to modify it. Since you want a primitive number rather than a Number wrapper object, make sure you don't put new in front of the Number function. It's more strict: if it doesn't understand the whole of the string than it returns NaN, so you can't use it for strings like 97px. This has different behavior to the parse methods (although it still ignores whitespace). I prefer to do this explicitly, var cast = Number("97") parseInt understands radixes up to base 36, in which case both upper and lower case letters are treated as equivalent.Ĭhanging the Type of a String to a NumberĪll of the other tricks mentioned above that don't use parseInt, involve implicitly coercing the string into a number. The standard actually changed with ECMAScript 5, so modern browsers no longer trigger octal when there's a leading 0 if no radix has been specified. The behaviour for hexadecimal is triggered by having the string start with 0x if no radix is specified, e.g., 0xff. In older browsers, if the string started with a 0, it would be interpreted as octal if the radix wasn't specified which took a lot of people by surprise. It's good practice to always specify the radix as the second argument. Here's an example of it doing something different to what you want, and giving no indication that anything went wrong: var widgetsSold = parseInt("97,800", 10) // widgetsSold is now 97 Whitespace at the beginning of the string is ignored. Parsing will stop silently if it hits a character it doesn't recognise, which can be useful for parsing strings like "92px", but it's also somewhat dangerous, since it won't give you any kind of error on bad input, instead you'll get back NaN unless the string starts with a number. ParseInt and parseFloat are the two functions used for parsing strings to numbers. You can also do the same thing explicitly with the Number function. All of the tricks in the other answers (e.g., unary plus) involve implicitly coercing the type of the string to a number. One way is to parse it and the other way is to change its type to a Number. There are two main ways to convert a string to a number in JavaScript. Interestingly, Math.round (like Math.floor) will do a string to number conversion, so if you want the number rounded (or if you have an integer in the string), this is a great way, maybe my favorite: var round = Math.round If you're the type who forgets to put the radix in when you call parseInt, you can use parseFloat and round it however you like. Or, if you're going to be using Math.floor several times: var floor = Math.floor If your string is or might be a float and you want an integer: var x = Math.floor("1000.01") // floor() automatically converts string to number If your string is already in the form of an integer: var x = +"1000" So you get a decimal number even with a leading 0 and an old browser () parseInt() var x = parseInt("1000", 10) // You want to use radix 10 If that doesn't work for you, then there are the parseInt, unary plus, parseFloat with floor, and Math.round methods. That is: Integer. The simplest way would be to use the native Number function: var x = Number("1000") The parseInt() method takes the string to be converted to an integer as a parameter. How to Convert a String to an Integer in Java Using Integer.parseInt In this article, you'll learn how to convert a string to an integer in Java using two methods of the Integer class - parseInt() and valueOf(). An example would be performing a mathematical operation using the value of a string variable. When working with a programming language, you may want to convert strings to integers. This mod requires the Spellbook Injector mod by r3m in order to show up in game. Effects will stack if you cast this spell on the same Sim multiple times. It takes these cookies to the next level. Salt is a crucial seasoning in all cooking, including desserts! While most processed peanut butters already have salt added, it’s not quite enough to balance out the sugar here, so we’re adding an additional ½ teaspoon of kosher salt. However, some oats are processed in factories that also process whole grains and can be cross-contaminated, so if you’re making these cookies for someone with gluten allergies, be sure to choose oats specifically marked “gluten-free.” Old fashioned oats, on the other hand, give these cookies a wonderful chewy texture, similar to a soft, freshly baked cookie.Īnother note about oats: because these cookies don’t use flour, they’re naturally gluten free. Quick-cooking oats have an almost powdery chew, and steel cut might crack a tooth or two. Regular, old-fashioned rolled oats are the way to go. All-natural peanut butter (the type that separates in the jar) can be inconsistent in texture, and the lack of homogenization can really throw off the texture of the cookie, which will make it tricky to get them to set properly. For best success, you MUST use smooth, processed peanut butter to make these cookies. You can never go wrong with peanut butter, right? Well, in this case, you actually can.
